Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have both surfed and hosted, at the moment I am working on an ethnography of couch surfers and their travel experience. Please get in touch if you would like to participate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some truly amazing cultural experiences mediated by Couchsurfing.
* Driving with a Croatian to the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park
* Meeting Djokovic's chiropractor
* Personal recommendations for cultural and entertainment events
* Long discussions of international relationships over coffee in Sweden
* Hosting a French couple biking around Europe
* Dinner parties in Belgium

Free couches are just a plus.

Interests

Obviously travel. I'm also interested in Asia and am glad to go for Korean food anytime. One of the benefits of living in DC is the access to so many cuisines from around the world. I like learning languages and cultures, hence why I'm studying Couch Surfers.
