ABOUT ME

Down to earth guy who enjoys the simples things in life. A walk on the beach, the cool breeze on a hot summer day, the scent of freshly brewed coffee.

I'm also a world adventurer and enjoy immersing myself into new cultures. I travel for the experience of discovering new people, cities and what inspires them.

When I'm not saving a burning school bus full of children... I work as an Advertising Sales Rep for a major magazine in New York City. I've been living in New York for the past 4 years now and its been quite an adventure. One of the things I enjoy most about the city is living right next to Central Park near the Dakota. Laying out on Sheap Meadows in the summer is priceless.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. So I'm a total L.A. boy who lives for the heat, sand and beach! Give me a pair of flip flops and sunblock and I'm happy! (Just don't give me any tequila, bad things will happen). When people ask about my background I always say I'm mexican which is the part of my heritage that I connect with the most. I lived for 5 years in Mexico on a small farm with my grandparents which was an amazing experience growing up as a child. I had two cows, two dogs, three cats, a chicken, a horse called Charlie and a parrot called Paco. Good times.

Fast forward ten years later and I'm living in the world's biggest city as a high ranking publishing executive. Totally weird. But that's life for you. Wish I could be a farm boy again. Or a hedge fund baby. Yeah, I think the second one sounds better.

Anyway... enough about me. What about you?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly participate by connecting with other CS members for events, meeting up for coffee, drinks or dinner. I've also connected with other members for city sightseeing both as a tourist and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my experiences on CS so far has been wonderful. I've had the pleasure of meeting some really great people on this site that have become good friends. What I most enjoy about the site is being able to connect with people who have the common interest of traveling and wants to share that experience with someone cool.

Interessen

I've been taking drawing classes for the past year in a half and its really something that I've been passionate about since I was a child. I enjoy drawing mainly in dry mediums like sanguine, charcoal, pastels and graphite. I love art, photography, gastronomy, outdoor activities like kayaking, swimming, etc.
