About Me
PHILOSOPHY
My brother went to India a few years ago. He brought back for me a poster with a great quote from the Dalaï Lama. He couldn't choose a better quote for me:
"We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During that period, we must try to do something good, something useful with our lives. If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never couchsurfed before but I would like to try this experience!
I've heard about couchsurfing a few times from members of my family and some friends. I think it would be a great way to meet poeple from different cultures. I'm going to France and Spain soon and I would like to try it for the first time over there!
Interests
I like many different styles of music: Rock, pop rock, indie Rock, rap, R&B (The Killers, The Black Keys, Foo Fighters, AC/DC, Green Day, Arcade Fire, Muse, Kanye West, Eminem, Wyclef Jean, Coldplay, The Last Shadow Puppets, Bran Van 3000) and french music from Québec (Jean Leloup, Vincent Vallières, Les Cowboys Fringants, Mes Aïeux). I Also like blues and classical music. Finally, I like to listen to singers as Léo Ferré and Jacques Brel.
The best thing about music is to discover new bands and new sounds!
Sports: I play hockey since I'm 4 years old. I started cycling last summer and tennis this summer. I like to try new sports and diversify my activities! I've also always run to keep a good shape!
I'm very interested in History. I think it's important to understand where we come from and where other poeple come from. I like to visit museums and historical places when I'm on a trip!
Finally I also have a great (but not excessive ;-) interest in beer, wine and porto. Is there something better then sharing a good bottle of wine with some friends while listening to good music?

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite author is Alexandre Dumas (The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte-Cristo). But the best book I ever read is The Alchemist from Paulo Coelho.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing place that I've seen yet is the Machu Picchu. I did the Inka trail, a 4 days walk in the mountains to get there. The last day, we woke up at 4 am, climbed what seemed to be a never-ending mountain and finally, at the top, saw the Machu Picchu. What a feeling!
