Overview
About Me
Half italian, half spanish. An aspiring scientist who's trying to do something different. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going, but I don't feel stranded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to get to know new places by knowing indigenous people. I like to get the side shot, not the postcard one. The hidden life and all that.
Interests
Cooking, especially doing it for people. Dinners, lunches, brunches, whatever: if it's for somebody I put all my effort in it.
I like science. I like its culture, the way it redefines our common conceptions of the world, our view of ourselves and the others. I like science in its bigger picture, the way it twists society and changes the game.
I like comic books, also tried drawing some of them. Can't say I'm good at it, but as with almost everything, I do have a lot of fun doing it.
I like looking at and owning stupid things, be it books, clothes, appliances, recordings. I have a trashy vein with an almost infinite thirst for the bizarre, the unexpected or the plain insane.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a recent crush on hip-hop, following a long satisfactory relationship with techno and electro music, had an extra-marital affair with folk and a long-lasting love with rock and heavy metal.
I hate not having enough time to read, but when I can I read sci-fi, short stories, noir, political essays, travel diaries.
Movies: I have an awful taste. I grew up with 90s action movies, so whatever comes from there is welcome. I really like scavenging for movies so bad they're good, especially action and adventure movies. Martial arts also have gained their special place. Also, The Big Lebowski.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Italian and Spanish. English as well, if you don't mind having a nice second-hand Italian accent embedded.
I can show you how to cook a fairly decent pasta and a risotto, if any of you want to impress friends with "fancy italian cooking".
I'm willing to learn any new language you can teach me, but I'm mainly interested in learning German for the future. Also, I took up some French while I lived in Strasbourg, and I'm looking forward to keeping it fresh.
Also, any other skill you want to share - from surfing to woodwork, and especially cooking new dishes - is going to make my experience really good.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show you lots of things about my hometown, Milan, and several other cities in Italy, if you ever come by. The corners, the "best-places-nobody-heard-about", the small treasures.
