Overview
About Me
I am a sociable person who loves human and animal company :) I love learning about people and their culture and I think traveling is the best way to do that!
I’m a grandma at heart: I love crocheting and gardening and I recently took up beekeeping!
I grew up mostly in Italy, but I spent my high school years in the the US, in West Virginia, where my mother’s family is from. My father is South African, so I suppose that makes me a Third Cultured Kid (strangely when I found out this classification existed I felt like I belonged somewhere).
I’m currently studying biomedical engineering, which I really love. My dream is to somehow incorporate my major with neuroscience research to improve diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses.
I love learning about things. I feel like there is so much to learn in this world and I’m always eager to listen to what people have to teach me.
One part of my life I love is my family. We are a very international bunch and the one drawback to this is that we spend our travel time visiting each-other rather than seeing new places. I deeply appreciate that I way raised in a very free environment. Simple things that in many other families were unspoken rules, in my house don’t exist (This doesn’t mean I won’t respect yours!) I find this freedom soothing and if I ever host you, perhaps you’ll find the same!
Random important info 1: I’m a vegetarian!
Random important info 2: I’m very active and I don’t appreciate laziness!

Getting on a little boat off the coast of Mozambique to see a humpback whale swim underneath us and lift it’s tail out of the water just to slap it back down. (Apparently this is knows as “lobtailing”-I just found out)
