About Me

"In a gentle way, you can shake the world"

Relaxed, easygoing, mindful, happy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS meet-ups, hosting, coffee or/a drink... and telling all my friends to "just get on Couchsurfing!" when they panic about moving to new towns! Have yet to surf but will, one day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met lots of fantastic people, including one of my good friends (hi Fiona!) who organised and World Couchsurfing Day meet up at the pub many moons ago.

And had a lovely American couple (hi Sara and Cale!) camp out in the hut in my front yard while there was a perfectly good double bed available inside. Other people might think that's weird, but I still think it's awesome.

Interests

Cycling the trails and rice fields of Siem Reap... and now, the beachside tracks of the South Coast

Hula hooping in my garden

Enjoying conversations with new and old friends

Appreciating that small actions can make a big difference... :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Will give anything a listen once, and LOVE hitting the dance floor just about anywhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking to the summit of Mt Kinabalu

Cycling to Battambang... then across Cambodia... then across northern Spain on the Camino de Santiago.

Hopefully figuring out how to do a handstand (another long term goal!) soon. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basic Khmer phrases that will help with your travels in Cambodia.

I can learn whatever vegetarian meal you can whip up (or adapt your best meaty one!). And I really really really want to learn to do a handstand!

I can share bicycle rides and hula hooping tricks, or cook up a tasty meal or two.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Fiji, France, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Cambodia
