ABOUT ME

I'm a social, outgoing, flexible, open-minded, caring person and I love meeting and connecting with new people. I have been an exchange student twice and am currently living abroad so I'm comfortable with unfamiliarity and also know the importance of making someone feel welcome and at home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can, surf when I can, point surfers in helpful directions when needed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All my experiences with couchsurfing have been wonderful. I had a wonderful stay in Paris and my host in Rome showed me Rome on his vespa and took me to lesser known neighborhoods that are frequented by locals. I hosted a couple in Bordeaux, a cyclist who was biking from the North to the South Pole, a couple traveling the world, and a few more stragglers here and there.

Couchsurfing really pushes people to be open, generous, and trusting and those are important qualities to foster.

Centres d'intérêt

Music is a big thing for me! I used to play for a dance band in Oregon and I absolutely loved it because there was always such a contagious feeling of solidarity in the room. Now global health and economic development issues are more front and center, I currently work for a non-profit organization that supports high-impact entrepreneurs in emerging markets. I also adore camping, geocaching, and getting outside. I play volleyball and am learning to body board now that I live by the sea.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I go huckleberry picking with my dad in August whenever I'm home and on year our camping trips overlapped with the Perseid meteor shower. We were far far out in the high prairies of Oregon, with zero light pollution, and only the pine trees to block our view of the skies as the meteors grazed the ozone layer. It was a breathtaking and unforgettable night under the stars.
