About Me
Hello !
My name is Marie and I'm from Bretagne, France !
I was bookseller for 2 years and half but I've quit my job to travel to Japan. I've been there 1 month last spring and I've absolutely loved it ! I've been to many cities (Tokyo, Shizuoka, Kyoto, Koyasan, Matsuyama, Hiroshima, Kurashiki, etc) but, once I had to come back in France, it wasn't enough for me : I wanted to discover more ! So I've applied for a Working Holiday visa and I got it !
I love everything that is cultural : reading books (of course !) but also listening to music, going to museums, watching movies/series/dramas, playing board games and video games, learning history and languages, etc.
I especially love Japanese culture and I'm currently (having fun) learning Japanese !
I'm curious about everything and in constant need to learn and discover new things - my teachers already said this about me when I was a child... I guess some things never change :D
I also love to live new experiences and I'm always up for everything : going to karaoke, skiing, scuba-diving, hiking, etc!
So, let's have fun together !

Music : My favorites bands are BTS, The Rose, One Ok Rock and Twenty One Pilots. I love rock music and, recently, I listen a lot to J-Pop and K-Pop.
Movies : I love Ghibli and Disney/Pixar movies. My favorites are Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Ponyo on the Cliff, The Lion King and Coco. Even if my favorite genre is animation, I also love all kinds of movies and my favorites are James Cameron's "Avatar", Ron Howard's "The Grinch and The Lord of the Rings series.
Books : My favorites books are Harry Potter series, "Watership Down" by Richard Adams and "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my last trip in Japan, I met people by chance in Matsuyama and the next day, they made me visit their village, and welcomed me to their house for the night. We shared dinner and laughed a lot. These are the kinds of experiences I seek to relive.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to talk about each other cultures, to learn how to cook japanese meals and to make a lot of precious and lasting memories.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, England, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain
