ABOUT ME
I am traveling in Myanmar at the moment I am happy to receive guests again in August.
I love travelling and nature. I try to combine it with my great passion photography and work as a chef. I like to go to exhibitions, fine restaurants and jazz cafes, drinking red wine and listening to live music.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was in Bali, traveling from east to west with only a scooter and a hammock, sleeping on the beach, I was offered by many Balinese to sleep in their homes. They were lovely, so hospitable. It was a great way to learn about their culture. I had a wonderful time.

Interests

My passion goes out to beautiful things, things which are perfectly made like an old tree or the local products I buy everyday on the market. I can enjoy a good book, well designed architecture or my crazy dog Wikkie.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to jazz the whole day. I just finished reading the earth children series by Jean Auel. I recommend it if you are interested in surviving in nature without modern tools.
I love the books of Murakami and beautiful Japanese animation movies by the Ghibli studio. I'm also a big fan of Wes Anderson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best and most exciting experiences were by travelling. I learned a lot through travelling and living in other countries.
What I love to do the most at this moment is walking with Wikkie in the Dunes near the sea. And going spontaneously to another great city in Europe, since I live in the Netherlands again and everything is so near by.

I can teach you more about cooking.
I am very interested in beautiful aesthetic things in general, like photography, design, art, architecture.
I love to make things myself. I can share my passion about it.
