About Me

"Think Globally, Act Locally"

I'm an easy going, laid back individual. (With the exception of when I'm hungry, in which case hand me a Snickers bar. Trust me. It's for your general well-being.)

I'm an idealist. I will see good in even the worst of situations. This at times has proven to be more harmful than beneficial. Sometimes you've just got to see things for the way they are (Vipassana) and I'm constantly working on that. I am usually always looking for something new and different to do, see, and eat. I long to explore new realms, live on the brink, get out of my comfort zones, and surround myself with the undiscovered. (Doc says it's called the Shiny Ball Syndrome. Apparently, it's a debilitating disease. I'm functioning just fine though so no need to alert the parents ;)) Spontaneity is what excites me. That doesn't mean there isn't any virtue in being still. I'm also a huge gastronome. If you oooooh aaaaaah over food (good food), you're my kind of human....I think there's something so special about food. Growing it. Preparing it. Learning the history behind it. Sharing it. Savoring it. It's all really intimate and fascinating. Such a unique door into a culture, home, and hearts.

I hope to offer as much positive Couchsurfing experiences as I would like to experience myself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet you!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Always something different that I'm into at any given moment. I'm currently studying human anatomy and physiology so that is the only book I am reading. Also recently I've been listening to 90s music and watching criminal psychology videos, particularly ones by JCS on YT.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

・Trekking through rural north China in subzero temperature going from village to village delivering supplies to needy homes and being invited inside like long lost families. Each family scraped all that they had to feed us like kings. It's there that I got to eat kimchi that was ACTUALLY buried in the ground all winter, old school style. It was the best kimchi I've had to date!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make a few Korean dishes. I'd be thrilled to learn how to cook a dish that you enjoy! and then we can share the nomz!!

What I Can Share with Hosts
