À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

When I was young, while growing up in my small village in the Cantabrian mountains, I realized I had been born to discover the globe. I moved to Oviedo where I studied a degree of English Studies and translation and I was living for a year in Brno, Czech Republic, but it was not enough and I moved to Barcelona to study a master's degree in translation, interpretation and intercultural studies. After finishing it I moved back to my region but saw I could not live there (at least not yet) so I moved to Finland where I lived life in the purest Finnish way for almost three months taking part in an AIESEC volunteer project.

Right now, I'm living in Germany. Unfortunately, I can't host anybody because I'm a volunteer and my flat belongs to my organization and they have strict rules about visitors :( But I'm always open for a good German beer and an interesting topic.

I'm cheerful and sociable and quite ready for living new adventures.

I hate small talk. Talk me about how shitty the weather in Cantabria is if you like, but let it be a conversation I can learn from :)

PHILOSOPHY

I know that everybody says so but I do everything in my life to be happy. That's my goal in my life. How to get it? Well, I really need to see happy people around me and I always try my best to get so.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I fits me. It fits my way of understanding travelling. I love enjoying the place I visit in a deeper why. That's the reason I always try to visit my friends from other countries and spend my time with their families and friends and living all those things about their culture they told me about when we were living together in another country.

But in the places I don't have friends, I just meet new ones. I want to discover those parts of the city that are not on the travel guides and do the things I didn't know existed.

I also love sharing points of views with different people while living in their culture.

Centres d'intérêt

Football and motorcycling are my passion and languages my future. I also enjoy cycling, especially if it's in a beautiful landscape.

I definitely love travelling, and the more I travel, the more I get obsessed with it.
But, as a terribly poor volunteer, I cannot always afford it so I just enjoy one of my other hobbies: cycling. Is there anything more therapeutic than climbing a hill way beyond your possibilities? You can't thing about another thing but trying not to die there. Love it!

I also love writing and just put any kind of thing I live into written words.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

As a typical philologist, I love reading and I specifically enjoy the kind of books that change you forever. Brave New World, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, or the Sorrows of Young Werther are in my top5.

Same happens with films. I like that kind of films that makes you question the way you understand life.
However, my favourite films will ever be the Lord of the Rings trilogy!
And a film I know its script by heart is El Dorado. I've watched it sooo many times and I still laugh as the first time.

About music, most of my friends agree I have a weird taste. What can I say? Maybe they're right. Ska-p, Mägo de Oz and La Pulquería are my favourite Spanish bands. Fall out Boy or Three Days Grace, Onerepublic or Imagine Dragons (among others) complete my list of favourite bands. However, you can also find me playing "air bagpipe" when cooking with folk music playing on my laptop.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've enjoyed (several times) Northern Lights from my own bed :D

A train full of people stopped in the middle of nowhere at 2am because of me.

I travelled 2.000 km on my own to attend a MotoGP Grand Prix (my very first time in a circuit, and surrounded by 150.000 motogp lovers)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I also love having never-ending discussions about many different kinds of topics
