Overview
About Me
I am an acoustic soul singer, pianist, guitarist and trumpet player. I grew up in Zimbabwe and am now based in Cape Town. I travel quite a bit for work, and have been bitten by the travel bug :) So whenever I get the chance, I am planning a new adventure. The people often make the place, and meeting new people along the way, getting tips of where to go and building friendships is a pretty rad addition to exploring a new place. Whenever I am in Cape Town, I am keen to host people and show them around - I have a pretty great 'Ultimate Cape Town To-Do list' on the fridge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a great apartment here in Cape Town city center, and grew up in a very sharing, welcoming home, always full of visitors - so couch surfing makes so much sense to me - meeting new people, giving back and making memories.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - soul and jazz are my no. 1 - Etta James, otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong..... the list is endless
Movies - Notting Hill, The Breakfast Club, anything classic... with the occasional Tom Hardy film ;)
Books - A good book is a good book, and there are so many. But I do love historical novels, Phillipa Gregory is great. I am currently on a Ken Follet novel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been among, and too close for comfort, some incredible wildlife in Zimbabwe. I've been chased by Buffalo and Elephant, and have had very close encounters with both cheetah and lion. Not for the feint-hearted - but the banks of the Zambezi are indescribable - falling asleep to unbelievable stars with the sounds of hyena and lion calls lulling you to sleep.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to share about my home country - people often don't know a huge amount about it. I'd love to learn about the places I'm visiting, the culture, food, traditions... just get a feel of it - and hopefully build some wonderful friendships along the way. Travel is an amazing way to break down barriers and squash any reservations people may have about another culture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to show you around, or give you tips of the best places to go - Cape Town has a lot of great things to do - for the nature lovers to the wine enthusiasts, to those in need of a good beach holiday.
