About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world! My aim in life is to see as many cities around the world as possible! I've lived in a few countries, Australia being the current one, and I hope it doesn't stop there!

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy person, love meeting new people, can't stand being on my own for too long, let's the mind wonder! I like to think I'm easy to chat to and generally easy enough to get along with.

PHILOSOPHY

Not actually my personal philosophy, it's stolen off a friend, but I've found they're wise words to live by: 'This too shall pass'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had a few couchsurfers stay with me for a few days and it was a great experience to show off a place I thought wasn't that interesting..turns out it is!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only ever couchsurfed twice. The first time was okay, bit of a rushed last minute thing but the person was lovely and very accommodating! The second was amazing! The couple we were with were just so laid back, felt like we'd been living with them forever, you just have to be respectful and they'll respect you too! It's so amazing to meet people and hear about their lives and maybe for them to hear yours too?

Interests

The usual: music, seeing friends, reading, cultures, language

  • reading
  • socializing
  • music
  • au-pair

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite author is Carlos Ruiz Zafon so basically any of his books I would recommend. Music..I'll listen to more or less anything, depends how the mood takes me. Films, again bit of everything really..getting better at horror films but still not the favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a year living abroad. Started in Madrid as an au pair, moved onto France as a teaching assistant, then back on to Spain to work in a hotel in Seville. The entire year was the best experience of my life. I've met so many people from all over the world and have (hopefully) so many more countries to go visit and have my own guided tour and more people to entertain wherever I may be at the time if they wish!

Teach, Learn, Share

Having studied Spanish and French as my degree I should theoretically be able to help a bit in that area!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Greece, India, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, England, France, Spain, Wales
