About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to be as great a couch-surfing host as my Mexican friends were in Spain and to make new friendships with people from other walks of life.

ABOUT ME

I am a primary school Teacher and have been living and working in country NSW since I arrived home from my oveseas adventure in 2010. I had been learning Spanish for almost 7 years and had been dreaming of the opportunity to go to Spain and become a fluent Spanish speaker! I had the opportunity in February 2010 and I spent the next 7 months in Madrid,Valencia and Murcia in Spain and 3 months working in London, living in Brent Cross.

I am an open, happy and inquisitive person. I love meeting like-minded people who enjoy music, languages, movies and anything creative.

PHILOSOPHY

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After I returned from couch surfing in Spain, I wanted to contribute by offering my home to people who are interested in travelling to Australia and seeing the sights.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined couch-surfing before I went to Spain in February 2010. I met a lovely Mexican guy in Madrid named David who offered his home for me to stay for 4 nights. I became really good friends with him and his two amazing flatmates Manuel and Israel also from Mexico. I was out of work for 3 weeks in Madrid, and they offered to feed and house me for those 3 weeks. Mexicans are golden! Love you guys!

Interests

My first love is linguistics. I love the spanish language and I love learning about other cultures. I enjoy playing the guitar and joining with friends to create a musical experience. I would love to learn the Violin and get singing lessons.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Macchu Piccu in Peru and saw the ancient Inca ruins. I also traveled to Japan and taught English. These are great achievements that I am very proud of.
I have also studied Spanish and can now speak and communicate with Spanish speakers (However, I would like to become more fluent).
I spent 7 months in Spain from February 2010 and made amazing friends, learned Spanish and learned about Mexican and Spanish food and culture. It was an experience of a life-time and one I will never forget. My friends there are so dear to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn about other cultures through food, conversation, music and life in general.
I am a Teacher and am very good at teaching the English language. Anyone who wants to learn the English language, you have come to the right place.
