My name is Gemma, I am 21 and have been living in La Paz, Bolivia for 2 and a half months now. I am currently working in a charity that supports low income amputees by creating prosthetic limbs. I am also working as an English teacher and gaining as much experience in law as I can. I am vegan and love to meet other vegans and vegetarians and find new places to eat and shop. I love all kinds of music and dance and love to learn about these in new countries. I am extremely active and love hiking, trekking and climbing, I would love it if my hosts can show me these things! Can't wait to meet you all!

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people, both those that share my interests and those that have completely different interests! I want to learn a lot about the countries that I visit and get to experience them with new friends.

Music, dance, reading, learning new things and meeting new people. I am quite opinionated and love having debates, mainly regarding political issues, but I am always open to all opinions. I am fascinated by history and culture.

I am always reading and enjoy reading most books. I am currently reading Marching Powder.

Last weekend I hiked the Takesi Inca Trail near La Paz, starting at 4500m and descending to 2500m in the middle of the Yungas jungle.
