About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to save the world...should be done in a year or so...
ABOUT ME
Currently travelling in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Born and bred in the North East of England. I currently work for an environmental charity after completing my Masters in International Politics (Globalization, POverty and Development) and I suppose you could say I have a not-so-secret desire to save the world.
I just bought my own place and I would like to be part of the community and offer up my sofa for nice people to stay in when they visit my lovely part of the world.
I have recently returned from a cycle tour of Europe, Holland, Germany, Austria, Greece, Bulgaria. I love travelling and am so excited by all of the amazing things i will see, the people i will meet, the architecture, the philosophies, the history, the museums, art galleries, restaurants, farms, lakes, mountains, seas and skies!!!
PHILOSOPHY
"Man cannot discover new oceans until he has the courage to lose sight of the shore"

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything with magic/dragons/total escapism, i.e. Robert Jordans Wheel of Time, Raymond E Feist. I have a lot of books I'm trying to read for clever points, i.e Bertrand Russell,Susan George, Naiomi Klein, etc, however in a fight between geek and clever, geek would win.
I like music that is the best of whatever genre it is, but am a rock chick at heart.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went Whale watching off the coast of Vancover Island - I still can't get over the feeling of being that close to such a huge and wonderful animal. Really felt at one with nature (although I realise that sounds trite!)
Cycled 800 miles through Germany, Austria and Holland.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know about politics generally, especially things like globalization, political economy, poverty, inequality, etc. I know about the UN process and the climate negotiations.
I can play the bass a little, I can teach Wing Chun Kung Fu, Climbing, Archery, Skiing.
Countries I’ve Visited
