Overview
About Me
I am 26 years old and I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I love traveling but don't get to do it enough. I like planning out adventures ahead of time, but am also very capable of just going with the flow! I work for Medtronic as a Reliability Engineer testing atrial fibrillation catheters that will be used fix a broken heart :)
I love hiking and exercise in general, but my real passion is learning. I love intelligent discussions as long as things stay level headed. I have a twin brother. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am going on a European adventure with my friend and I heard about this site and thought it would be a cheap/fun way to experience the world from a local standpoint! Getting to know the local residents of a new city is one of my favorite ways to travel and I'm actually disappointed I hadn't tried couchsurfing until now
Interests
I am a big tennis fan! I love playing it, following it, and watching it. Although I havent really seen any high ranking matches yet. One day soon I hope! I also follow American football very closely and am a very serious Minnesota Vikings fan. It can be quite depressing at times because the team hasn't been good for a while now. In fact, as far as American professional sports go, Minneapolis is one of the more depressing cities to live in, with a championship drought of 25 years :'(
I also really like reading, playing piano, drinking new and interesting beers, biking around wherever I can go and cooking... especially baking!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've helped install a wind turbine to provide electricity for a small town in Nicaragua.
I got 10th in the minnesota high school state tournament in chess, which isn't too shabby believe it or not.
I once hiked 20 miles in the Rocky Mountain national park in one day
Teach, Learn, Share
I have gotten pretty good at baking over the last few years. I could maybe share some pointers in the strawberry rhubarb pie department!
I'm not the greatest at the piano but I can play around on it and help you if you are a beginner. If you are more advanced than that, I have plenty to learn!
I am also currently trying to teach myself German using the duo lingo... but could definitely use some help!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer interesting conversation, and if your willing I could provide a nice meal for all us to share!
