ABOUT ME

I moved up to Beacon, NY in 2017 after 15 years in NYC. I'm a very hands-on landlord and Airbnb host. I build, renovate and maintain all my units and build outdoor spaces myself. In my spare time I travel, hike/trail run and study economics.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was active in CS in 2007-8 but hadn't logged in in years. I just heard about it in the news recently and decided to try it again. Previously I hosted a few people in my apartment in NYC. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley (Beacon, NY) and am open to hosting again. I'm also interested in exploring as a guest as well

For news, I read The Economist, the WSJ, and Bloomberg if I can get my hands on it. I like jazz, older hip-hop and disco. Lately I've been learning a lot from ChatGPT.

Burning man (06, 07). Lots of great sailing experiences in the U.S., Asia, Caribbean, U.K. etc. Recently sailed in a race from Newport (U.S.) to Bermuda. Also had lots of great sailing and traveling experiences... Hill tribe trek in northern Thailand (complete with visit to Dr. O). Tried to surf in Bali. Visit to Komodo (Indonesia) and its "dragon". Fought off an attempted mugging in Rio - and I have the knife scar to prove it!
