ABOUT ME

Mother of 4 grown children, always enjoying hobbies, interested in world cultures since I was very young and at about the age of 10 knew that I wanted to travel. I grew up in a very religious family, but in recent years have completely left this ideology and lifestyle.

PHILOSOPHY

To be at peace with myself, to treat all people, children and animals with dignity, to shun violence. I think that if you have always wanted to do something, then do it and don't put it off any longer.

I tell lots of people about this great way of inter-cultural exchange - it's a simple concept of sharing lives yet has such powerful and positive results.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept on couches in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands,Germany, Spain, New Zealand, Honolulu and Switzerland, and made some very good friends!

Intereses

Travel, health and nutrition, gardening and seed saving, breeding plants, pets, penpals, archaeology, ancient history, vegetarianism, movies, arts, architecture, crafts, reading, music, cooking, astronomy, the environment, photography, playing the cello, knitting socks, embroidery... the list just keeps on growing! My latest interest is Geocaching, going on treasure hunts using a GPS (geocaching.com)

I enjoy true stories and therefore books and movies based on inspirational true stories. I also enjoy futuristic movies/Sci Fi or fiction.

Visiting archaeological sites in the Middle East when I lived in Israel for 8 months.
