I am a very laid back, open minded person. I love learning about different cultures and I love to share about my own. I am a life student, I have a degree in Sociology, I work in the accounting world, and am currently working on my computer science degree. I love to learn new things and I love change. I am a dancer! I love to dance, I was a part of a Balet Folklorico, (Mexican Folk Dance) for just a little shy of 10 years. All other type of dance just comes natural to me I love to learn new styles of dance, so if you have some skills you want to share with me, I would be excited to learn!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine told me about couchsurfing and I thought it is a very great concept. I believe that traveling is far more than just a luxury. I want to travel to new places and submerge myself in the culture so that I can learn more about it and along the way learn more about myself. I also want to provide the opportunity for others to visit Vegas and get a feel for the Vegas culture!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a recipient of a scholarship from a local foundation, the following year they asked me to do a speech at their scholarship luncheon as one of the past recipients. After my speech, one of the high school deans present asked to speak to me. She explained that there was a student at her school that shared a similar story, and that she wanted to help her but did not know how. Since then the aforementioned school dean and I have developed a relationship where she sends me at risk students for me to mentor and guide in the right direction. I love spending time with my girls and making the smallest of the most precious changes in the world.

I am a listener, a dreamer, and a great story teller. The most precious lessons are learned through a shared story, I think our ancestors had the right idea; fire, friends/family, circle, story telling :)
