Overview
About Me
Spontaneous, excited, happy traveler looking to make friends and have new experiences! I grew up in Washington, DC and I work in public health in the prevention of gender-based violence. I love to try new foods and meet new people, and this seems like a great way to do that!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm working in Asia for the summer and I want to meet locals who can show me the sites and teach me new things about the world.
I am looking for more than just a room to sleep in-- I also want to make a new friend who will spend time with me when it's possible and show me a fun time in their city!
Interests
I'm seriously open to anything. I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures-- it's why I went into global work!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in a shamanic healing ritual in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru. I gained deep insight into myself and my life and I cried for 2 days. It was beautiful and sad and informative and completely life-changing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Listen to people. It's a virtue that many people unfortunately forget, but one that is so important. Everybody wants to feel acknowledged and understood, and you can learn a lot about others and about yourself if you talk less and listen more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A rich sense of humor and adventure, stories from around the world, kindness, and lifelong friendship.
I will always be considerate, clean, and respectful to you, your home, and your culture. I can teach you about American culture and I will bring a gift from the US to my hosts as a token of my gratitude. I am new to CS, but I believe that a great host deserves a great recommendation, so after I leave I will always provide a recommendation to those who have been kind enough to open their doors to me :)
