Hello, my name is Gen and I am a registered nurse from Albuquerque New Mexico. I love travel and and meeting new people. I am originally from just south of Portland Oregon but grew up half time in New Mexico. I think moving around the United states as a child gave me that urge to make new friends at any moment.

I love traveling and making new friends wherever I go. I typically stay in hostels but after hearing about couchsurfers and the success my friends and family have had I thought I would give it a try. I typically travel alone because I don't have all that many friends that have the access to holiday as frequently as I can. I think that with couch surfers I will be able to make new friends and am excited to learn about new cultures. I hope by utilizing this site I can stay with new people, make friends and possibly have people come visit me in New Mexico.

It is quite difficult to name my favorite music, movies and books because I have so many, truly I love being exposed to new things all the time. I really enjoy listening to a variety of podcasts such as nerdest as well.

Personally I think one amazing thing I have done is become an RN. I absolutely love meeting and helping people in every aspect. One of my goals in the next year is to work with a medical mission and be able to help the less fortunate that cannot readily access proper healthcare.

I would love to share with hosts things from my culture and community as well as creating new friends. I love to cook and would love to expose you to some of my favorite foods, especially some good ole green chili stew.
