About Me

ABOUT ME

My name is Genevieve and I am an appreciator of all things art, music, and FOOD. I am absolutely obsessed with finding and trying new things, whether its new tastes, sights, or sounds. I also love getting to know people from different places, cultures, etc. I find that my life becomes so much more meaningful as I learn more about how other people think and live. I would love to get to know you too--whether you're from next door, or the other side of the planet.

My day job hardly feels like work--I teach and perform classical music. In my downtime I mostly eat good food, read articles online, go on hikes, or work on writing--letters, journal entries, and fiction :)

As a food lover, I would love to introduce you to any/all of my favorite places to eat in West Chester (I also have a few favorites in Philly I could tell you about.) I also know about a lot of beautiful parks and gardens. When I travel I look for similar things--maybe you can introduce me to your favorites as well.

If you're a musician--bring your instrument! I would love to jam :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I performed at this gorgeous monastery in the Czech Republic. I was amazed, because the whole building was plain slate and then I entered the chapel and it was literally the most gorgeous and ornately decorated space I have ever set foot in. It astounded me that someplace so small, quaint, and plain could house such a glorious treasure. I think it's a great metaphor, too :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a music teacher specializing in strings--so I would be happy to teach you a thing or two about playing the violin, viola, or cello (alas, I own no double bass.)

I, on the other hand, would love to learn a new language, a new recipe, or a new style of playing music.
