ABOUT ME

My lover and I have worked hard to save the Slave River from being dammed. Our river features gigantic rapids that are considered to be in the top 5 of the biggest in the world. watch this little video and you'll learn more!

So in brief, water is pretty much the number one thing in this household. kayaking, canoeing, teaching, racing, and all the joys of hanging out int the outdoors. we're living up the lifestyle!

When its frozen out, well we're playing in the pool dreaming of summer. But we also travel a lot, and of course dogsledding and skijorring is the other kind of fun thing we're into!

I wish more people would drive to the famous end of the road that is fort smith! we are always craving for new conversations and meeting new people and we love hosting so don't be shy!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Its been great. We've never had bad experiences through couchsurfing. We've hosted some really neat people, and we've met some of our closest friends surfing their couches...

There's one thing that my experiences has thought me and its : if you think you've now been there too long, its probably true and you should probably move on.

Interests

canoeing, white-water kayaking in the Slave, gardening, studying random stuff, growing avocados trees, I make rugs out of recycled fabric and cardboard furniture too!
Some carpentry and wood work, traveling... I also try to have interesting jobs..!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My lover John and I did the Yukon River Quest 2009, 740 km of canoeing in 58 hours. It was such an incredible race and experience, purely masochistic, that I am obsessed about doing again!!!

In the same year, John and I took off for 2 months to live in Svalbard in a tent (december and january 2009-2010), we never saw the sun and it rained a lot... but it was a blast!

Now my latest achievement is that I participated in the full restoration of an old log house that was saved from being burned down in the National park nearby, and there are now people living in it and it is the cutest little place I have been in ever!
