About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working in the non-profit sector, keeping art/good people in my life, trying to find that balance between work/friends/family fun/discipline, making the rest up along the way.

ABOUT ME

artist.bar/fruitfly.bike-rider.lover.fighter. I hate writing about myself but am fine with the above labels. I once had a drink that immediately upon tasting it realized that if I was a drink that's who I would be. It was sugar cane juice, lime, chili powder and a salted rim. I'm that.

Ok more seriously I'm always willing to try new things, I love citylife but cannot live without the chance to appreciate nature and mother earth in her glory, i love to laugh, i appreciate my culture, I'm always up for creating community and empowering the underpriviledged.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life without regret and try my best to do good by others and myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed officially through here only once in Albany or mmmm Rochester NY (I get em confused). I have a small studio which has prohibited me from hosting but after my upcoming trip to europe and when I come back and relocate...I'm looking forward to making myself available to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In going cross country with my friend's band, we did about 30 towns and only got a hotel twice. In almost every city, we found someone to take us in for the night providing a floor, a couch or a spare bed if we were really lucky. The experience of someone opening up their home with no warning or preparation was humbling and absolutely incredible.

Interests

Bicycles and the riders that take part in the responsibility of their integration into our city, relief printmaking, LABP, Chorus PS22, accordions, kickball, dogs, alternative media, shadow puppetry, kids, Jameson, The Word, drag queens & kings, swap meets and drive ins, moments of clarification.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Four Agreements, The Tao of Pooh, Shel Silverstein, Art books (yea, i like a simple read). Movies directed by Anderson, Jodorowsky, Korine. Pirate Radio, Blood In Blood Out, But I'm a Cheerleader, Meet the Feebles, The Last Unicorn. Anything with Bill Murray or Tin Tan. Indie, Soul, Afrobeat, Vallenato, Cumbia, Reggae, Rock, pop but not really anything from the last few decades, Old School music all together whether its Oldies, Chacha disco, Freestyle, Hip Hop, R & B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've taken a few trips with some great musicians throughout the US and Mexico. I've assisted youth through leadership development to become agents of change in their communities. I've been with a complete stranger in his time of death.
