ABOUT ME

I love little children and people, however my favorite thing in the world are trees, and my favorite creature is a chameleon. I am curious and want to see the world, I wear my heart on my sleeve. Love animals too. Sporty, healthy and will try fun things! LOVE dancing! Spontaneous, kind and genuine! oh and adventurous too!

PHILOSOPHY

Love learning, if possible, something new everyday! My intentions are always good and I would never doing anything to hurt anyone. Trying hard to love myself more though.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a very real kind of person, and believe in kindness and making sure that whoever visits feels happy and comfortable and gets to see Capetonian lifestyle, the positive and the negative.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted my first CS's, two great young French guys from Lyon who proved to make the experience everything I imagined, wonderful! Since then have hosted only wonderful people all of whom have touched my love for the positive and all of whom I would want to see again in my lifetime!

My first surfing experience was in Paris in August this year ... which has turned into a love story. You will have to meet me to hear about it!

Interests

Different cultures, people, landscapes, food, wine, outdoors hiking or swimming or jogging but I am not a fitness freak, just like to be healthy. Life in general grabs my attention and all that we have to experience in it. History, the arts, classical music, wine and whiskey!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all music, in fact on my recent trip to Myanmar, loved the way the young men sang as they worked. Classical to opera to rock, music is everything.
Prefer biographies or autobiographies.
Movies ... typically cinema nouveau, action, drama and of course a good old love story. Anything with Daniel Day Lewis in it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled to Myanmar on a whim and met humble beautiful people.
Spent time in the bush and thunder & lightening storms with huge raindrops and then smelt the wet soil.. I love that smell and the smell of cut grass.
Giving birth to my daughters.
Flown in a helicopter and in the cockpit of an airplane for the duration of a flight!
Whist riding an elephant in Chiang Mai, the Thai guide sang a beautiful song which I still have on my mind.

Just beginning to find the rest of the world....

I have learned from life that you never know what you are going to face around the corner, or what someone else has been through and so you need to be kind and give a smile, and say hello and be genuine about who you are, then expect the unexpected.
