I enjoy making people laugh, learning about languages and cultures, and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. BJJ is a beautiful Martial Art because it's very logical and it's very akin to Chess. When I started, I wasn't very coordinated and it took me a long time to learn the techniques. My coordination has improved and I earned my blue belt in Feb 2017 so I believe anyone can learn anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day, I was walking to the bus stop in Denver and this elderly woman who didn't speak any English stopped me. She pointed at her money and the machine. Another younger gentleman came by to help. She was near the bus stop for the airport, so at first, we didn't know if she was trying to catch a plane or needed some extra cash. However, together, we deduced that she wanted to verify that she had the correct change for regular transit. I enjoy these small moments when people come together to help each other out.
