Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In Austria military or civil service is still mandatory, so as soon as I found out, that it's possible to do the service abroad and I've always been interested in different cultures and places the decision was quite easy.
Due to many coincidences this lead me to live in Los Angeles for 12 months, which to be honest I still quite miss!
Since I obviously didn't know many people in the and met many other travelers, I started going to couch surfing events.

What I Can Share with Hosts

While I've not used the couch surfing platform as a host or guest before I always loved to invite people that I met while traveling. Actually the reason I lived 12 Months in L.A. had to do with me meeting another guy with his family while flying home visiting my elder sister...
So if I stay somewhere I always want to show them Austria!
I'm pretty good cook as well, so if you've never had Austrian food...
