ABOUT ME

I'd like to consider myself an aesthetic individual.. I have a strong appreciation for the beauty of the world in both a realistic and idealistic sense. I think it's because of that why I love the outdoors, visual/aural associations, and exploration.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that you should be able to do anything you want and accomplish what you want in life to your fullest extent so long as you don't interfere with another's pursuit for the same thing. Exploration in every sense of the word is what I'd like to accomplish in life.. places, people, experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've always been a person who has suffered from a bit of social anxiety. I can be sarcastic and arrogant sounding with no problem, but when it comes to genuine interaction I will initially come off as a bit awkward. It's something that I've come through and want to get over. In only the past year or so I've realized that interaction with people is one of the things that makes life interesting, and I want to get out there and really meet as many different types of people as I can- so I can learn from their experiences and they can learn from mine.

I'm not very edgy when it comes to these things. I tend to still put movies like Starship Troopers and The Fifth Element in my top 5 movie lists. Musically I'm sort of all over the place, with a strong dabbling in dorky.. I like predominately classic rock (Beatles, etc.) as that is what I was raised listening to. The music I've found on my own has mostly been Japanese-Pop/Rock and that's carried over from the anime phase I had when I was younger. Outside of that, I enjoy any music that enhances the experience of the moment.. A song that is carried with a strong visual association with me will instantly find it's way into my favor. ... Oh.. and I just discovered that Lady Gaga stuff.. that crap is catchy.

I'd like to think that I've got a lot to share as an individual, but in a more diverse than specialized sense. I've gone through quite a bit in my life and it's left me in different places physically, mentally, and socially.
