About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take the biggest bite out of life possible

ABOUT ME

They say that I'm sweet and unique, have a zest for life and an inspiring positivity. (I should ask my friends what they think about me more often) I also crack lame jokes and puns a lot.

I'm Canadian, yet feel more like a citizen of the world due to growing up in the States, living in Australia for 3 years, and now being back in Canada (T-dot!).

I'm family oriented and like to think of myself as friendly and out-going.

When I have the ability to experience something, I like to do it all the way. Spending a bit extra on a tasty beer, waking up early to witness a sunrise, pushing myself just a little bit further. Like many people my age, I have no idea where the eff I'm going with my life but hey, I'm close to a beautiful family and some good friends so I think my life journey hasn't been too shabby :)

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to love. I have a lot of love and hugs to give. I like to change the way people think and I like when people get me to think in a different way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books

I like those indie films that have really nice camera angles where every shot could basically be a photo and they mainly focus on the actor's expressions/ conversations. (I don't care how lame this sounds, it's the truth!) The Exploding Girl, Your Sister's Sister, Garden State, Paper Heart etc. I do enjoy some cheesy Sandra Bullock/ Hugh Grant rom coms once in awhile when I miss my mom. Documentaries... I'm a bit iffy about. They're very good at getting you emotionally involved... about one person/group of people's point of view and that can be dangerous sometimes.

OKAY! MUSIC! This is hard because I freaking love music, all sorts of music. So I will just say that it varies from Sarah Harmer to Drake, Vivaldi to Deftones, Explosions in the Sky to the Smashing Pumpkins.

Books. I like reading people's journals/ diaries, poetry, short stories- really getting into their psyche/sources of creativity. Sylvia Plath's journals, Michael Ondaatje's poetry, Margaret Atwood, Kurt Vonnegut...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The seconds after bungee jumping, realizing I had jumped 200 ft into a gorge filled with water and survived.

Climbing up the Tepozteco mountain in Mexico, reaching the top to the El Tepozteco and looking over the city

Teach, Learn, Share
