ABOUT ME

Hi, we are three friends living and studying in Ghent. We study Graphic Design at Sint-lucas. Victor and Pieter are both in the scouts, Evelien has been in "Chiro" (something very similar to scouts) for a long time. We like coffee, electronic music, other music, asian food, Belgian beer, Belgian Chocolates, Belgian fries, Partying, travelling, campervans and sunshine.

Victor: Dinosaurs with guns will come and kill and so i live every day to the fullest.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are always close to the international students at our school, and now that Evelien decided to stay with us we want to get involved in the official community as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Victor, Evelien and Pieter did, together with another friend, a fake "hospitality-survey" in the Netherlands. It comes down to this: we decided to go on vacation, but we did not have any money left. So we made fake survey-papers, fake "congratulations-you are generous"-stickers, ..., we hitchhiked around in the Netherlands, just rang the bell on people's houses and talked our way in. It was awesome, nothing prepared, we met a lot of people due to the hitchhiking and asking for a place to sleep, and it turned out to be super easy. (Well, probably because the dutch are friendly people in general).

We also keep in contact with current and former international/exchange students from our school, so we're used to have international company in our apartment. One time we took some internationals to a party in Pieters hometown (Mechelen) and we stayed at his house. One of the guys, André, who comes from Portugal, was so drunk he peed on his girlfriend in Pieters room. I guess that's why we only host cough-surfers in Ghent and not in Mechelen anymore :)

Travelling.
1) Buy a campervan.
2) Hitchhiking is hard in these paranoia-times. Just ask people in petrol stations, always works. Or have a girl with you. (or wear a banana-suit).
