I'm passionate about travel, adventure and seeing as much of the world as a can.

I set myself my own "50-50 Challenge"....to visit 50 countries by the age of 50!

My challenge inspires me to keep travelling every year. So far, I am up to around 38 countries. In 2016, I spent 6 weeks in the Caribbean visiting countries such as Cuba and Jamaica. In 2017, I have booked to go to the Mongolian Wrestling Festival, camping on the Great Wall of China and the Sth Korea Mud Festival. It is great fun planning, and always having something to look forward to, as well as going on the trips themselves.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have only recently joined Coachsurfing in 2016. I joined as I was having trouble finding traditional backpacker or other accommodation in South Korea for the Mud Festival..then I remembered a friend telling me about Coachsurfing when I was in Mexico.

Since joining Coachsurfing, I have found that there are a lot of visitors to Melbourne that are looking for locals to learn from and share experiences with, so I am really looking forward to catching up with some fellow travellers in my home city.

兴趣

Besides travelling...i enjoy...

...most things that involve the outdoors. I especially like being close to water and enjoying sunny days. I have an outrigger type sail boat that I take on weekend adventures, and also do the occasional hiking / camping trips.

I love exploring new places, in my own city or around the world. Wandering through markets, driving up roads less travelled, or walking aimlessly around new cities and awaiting what comes up around the next corner.

Even though I am "middle aged" now, my taste in music is definitely not too typical for my age.

I love electronic music and festivals...especially deep house and anything with a lot of bass...and also like some rnb or lounge / chilled house music.

My memory is so bad...i find it hard to recall all the things I have done...I'm always looking forward to the next amazing thing I could do.

I'd like to think I could teach or inspire people to get out there and give things a go. Don't wait until "one day" to travel or do the things you would love to do...just do it..."carpe diem"..."sieze the day".
