About Me
CURRENT MISSION
June 2016 - I'm a tall ship sailor. I am starting to travel the world more frequently and more extensively in connection with my work. I lived in New Zealand for a year and spent most of the last year aboard S/V Kalmar Nyckel, homeported in Wilmington, Delaware, USA.
ABOUT ME
I'm very relaxed and outgoing; I love to meet and interact with genuine people. I will gladly start a conversation with a perfect stranger and see where it goes! I also am very introverted, though, so I enjoy quiet time to read, write, and think. The world is a beautiful place, and I'm very attracted to traveling through it and learning what I can from different people and places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm pretty new to couchsurfing, after having had several trusted friends speak highly of it from their own experiences. It was the most wonderful surprise which got me through my most uncertain time living on my own in New Zealand; I also met other couchsurfers while there, and am very thankful I did!
Interests
I enjoy lots of music, but most especially classical and folk music. I play around with many instruments, but am most serious about the concertina (which I always take with me on travels) and the piano.
