I'm Geoffrey from France, 28-year-old. I grew up in Orleans in the center of France

After a big trip from November 2015 to December 2016 where I have been to New-Zealand, South East Asia, USA and Canada, I settled down in Montreal for 2 years. But I was missing too much Europe so now I am in Bucharest in Romania, I have been working there for 1.5 year.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Hostels enable to meet travelers; Couchsurfing enables to meet locals. To my opinion, it's more interesting to meet locals when you visit a country. You'll learn much more than every traveler can teach you about the country you're visiting.

On the contrary, when I don't travel and stay in France I like meeting people from other countries as well.

I like learning cultures from somewhere else and sharing mine. I love this exchange process.

I'm also here to learn and share stories about travels. I already visited many countries on all continents so I think I'm able to talk about a lot of things about traveling. I'd like to compare with people who visited the same countries I did to see if we got the same feeling.

Interessen

I like doing all crazy stuffs and extreme sports I'm able to do. I already did bungee jump (134m high), swing jump (100m high), skydiving, shark cage diving (this one was awesome!!!!!), piloting an aircraft, dolphins swimming, Zorb ball...

Of course I'm a big fan of traveling! My best way to travel is by road trip. I did one road trip in Morocco desert during 2 weeks with a French old car. It's an humanitarian rally whose the goal is to give school supplies to Moroccan children.
I did another trip in New-Zealand with a car.
And I did a road trip by motorbike in Vietnam (the craziest and best one I think).

After that I'm never against going out for some drinks, I'm never the first who gets to bed!!! ;)

Furthermore I can't live without music, I always listen my music as soon as I can.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm more interested by techno and rap music but I'm really open-minded with all type of music. I'm really interested to share music with people I met, it's a good way to get some new songs. About 6 months traveling, my playlist is getting old...

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I did all Vietnam by motorbike.
I bought a bike in Ho Chi Minh City and sold it in Hanoi. I drove during 3,500 kilometers in 3 weeks.
And I tell you, driving in Vietnam is totally crazy. You need to be always focused on the road; you never know what can happen! The horn becomes your best friend. It's such a different way to drive, you need to get used to it. Several times I think I was gonna die but I'm still alive now and this experience was awesome.

And as I've written before, I like doing all crazy stuffs like bungee jump, skydiving...

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I traveled in many countries and in many different ways so I can give you many tips. Particularly when you traveled in countries not developed as in Europe or North America for example, you need to be really attentive and know the tips to avoid being ripped off.

If you want to learn French I'm also able to teach you whatever your level.

My stories about traveling as I said, I think I know many things and tips to travel well and safe.
I can also share my culture about my country, my music (I have a lot to say about it). And of course about cuisine, I'm not the best cook ever but I have some base and meals to share :)
