About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing for two main reasons:
Number one, is that I'm looking to meet up with other Francophones/wannabe Francophones in Rochester, so we can practice our language skills. (And maybe become friends!)
Number two, is that I want to meet and hang out with travelers. I love to travel, I plan to do more of it as my income rises, and I want to help people have an enjoyable stay in Rochester. I really like this city, and I think it has a lot to offer. Even if people don't need a tour, I simply like meeting new people and seeing what they're about.

Music, Movies, and Books
(Non-inclusive: mere samples.)
Some of my favorite music is The Beatles, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson, The Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, Tom Petty. But, I don't listen to music a ton, and I like a huge variety of it.
For movies, some favorites are the Dark Knight Trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Quentin Tarantino movies, Sam Raimi movies, Die Hard, Idiocracy, The Shining...I like a lot of Horror and Thriller movies. Again, a wide variety.
My two favorite books are Dune, by Frank Herbert, and The Killer Angels, by Michael Shaara. I like a lot of science fiction, historical fiction, horror. I read a lot of history, psychology, and self-help books, too. Some other favorite authors are Stephen King, Ayn Rand, and H.P. Lovecraft.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my proudest accomplishments is my Eagle Scout Badge.
Hm. This makes me a bit sad, but, as much as a lot of things I've done have made me happy or proud, "amazing" seems like a stretch for most of them. :/
I'll have to think about this. I certainly want to do more amazing things.
OH! I write books; I have three! Two self-published, one regular published! A lot of people are really impressed by that, so there's something! They're horror books: two anthologies and one novel.
Teach, Learn, Share
Like I said, I really want to speak French with people, especially native speakers who are travelling to/through Rochester, but also people who are learning the language.
Because I think learning new languages is an amazing and beautiful (and difficult!) thing, I also want to help people who are learning English. So, if I don't know a traveler's native language already, I'll learn some basics before they arrive, and then we can also practice English.
Horseback riding is a big hobby of mine, and I'd be happy to go on a trail ride with someone. I know a few good bars in Rochester, too.
I love learning about different cultures, including just hearing about life in other American cities/regions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a couch. My apartment has air conditioning. I'll share food and drinks with you, too. Oh, and books, you can read books from my bookshelf while you're here.
