Overview
About Me
Born in London, bred in Kuala Lumpur. A city dweller that loves to be amongst the hills and mountains.
I laugh at inappropriate jokes. I laugh at cold humour. I laugh at myself. I laugh, a lot!
A serial backpacker since I turned 17. Always tempted to travel to countries which don't speak English as it forces one to communicate through other means.
I studied Communications and Media for my Bachelor's and Global Politics for my Master's. Worked in journalism, advertising, broadcasting and public relations. I get excited seeing two people who don't speak the language seek methods to express themselves and when the message gets through, the joy on their faces - that's worth remembering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best part about backpacking is when you befriend locals and they give you a proper taste of what it is like to live in their world. This is what I hope to give others as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being 'adopted' into the friendliest Greek family ever. Stayed with them for five days in their holiday home. With only a couple of members being able to speak English, I had to learn Greek to get by! No matter, they were too friendly and smiled and laughed at everything I said, Greek or English. The most amazing feeling to be inducted into such a beautiful family halfway around the world who doesn't even speak the same language.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach - how to kick a football without falling on your arse (sometimes), how to eat food with your hands, how to talk to Malaysian policemen
Would like to learn - About countries I've never been to (and would like to go!), new languages, new food, how to not dance like Donald Duck on steroids
Can share - travel experiences, fun times with my family and friends and what life is like for me here in Malaysia
What I Can Share with Hosts
How my life is back home, the multicultural ways of Malaysia, perhaps some Malaysian snacks?
Also, a helping hand around the house :) Not a terribly strong guy but I can carry two full garbage bags at one time.
