À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

see interesting things and write.

ABOUT ME

Traveling has prompted my way of life. It taught me how to participate in the unfamiliar with guts and an open heart, yet remain grounded in who I am and where I came from.

I previously worked in film in Vermont and also spent some time in New Delhi writing about the art scene for a local magazine. I'm now based in Chicago-- has been a relief biking on flat land again!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Primarily Surfing. I'm currently in-between places so I sadly don't have a couch to call my own and offer. However, I fully intend to return the favor to the CS community once I figure out where exactly "home" will be in the next year or so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

surfed during solo road trips in the US and while living in India.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Film/TV: Almost Famous, Living in Oblivion, Freaks and Geeks, The Wire, Mad Men!!

Authors: Currently going through my Haruki Murakami reading list. I reread James Baldwin and Joan Didion almost every year.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

On the first night of monsoon season in Delhi, my friend and I walked through an eerie rainstorm trying to find an abandoned apartment complex where they were showing 'Zinda Laash', a Pakistani dracula movie from the sixties.

Nothing like eating samosas in the pouring rain while watching curvy Pakistani vampires dance to a beachy 60's score!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I honestly would love to just sit cross-legged on your kitchen floor and hear your life story.

I know music, movies, literature and history. I think a lot about strangers, love, and how to live my life.

I am also forever "teaching myself" how to play the guitar and cook ethnic foods so a crash course in either would be much obliged.
