About Me

I am a recent University graduate and am very interested in climbing and photography! More than anything, I just like being outside and in the mountains, which is why I am extremely excited to be spending the next 6 months traveling through Europe and Asia. I'm intending to sport and alpine climb as many peaks as I can get my hands on, and photograph my journey along the way!

I'm a pretty laid back, easy going person with a serious addiction to chocolate chip cookies. If you like chocolate chip cookies, we'll get along juuust fine :-]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm really interested in meeting new people who share the "travelers' mindset! I also am very interested in learning new languages, and I think that this website would be a great way to facilitate that.

Also, I have this really great story about this guy stuck in the middle of the desert.

Interests

I'm really interested in alpinism, sport climbing and photography at the moment! I love the connection and interaction that climbing facilitates with the outdoors. It really makes you feel involved with the environment.

Also, you will never meet a bigger Lord of the Rings geek in your life. Ever. I know Orc Black Speech.

Movies: The Lord of the Rings, iRobot, Gladiator
Books: The Silmarillion, The Lord of the Rings

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed Pico De Orizaba - an 18,500 foot volcano in southern Mexico! It was a great climb, and really showed me what it's like at higher altitudes!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of my own stories, as well as some I've heard along the road. When you spend days on end locked in tents at the base of a mountain, you learn to tell really good riddles, play cool card games, and become a master at the ukulele.

Also, for what it's worth, I can teach English fairly well!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can play the ukulele for you (if the airline lets me bring it) , be your climbing partner for climbs in the area, and any random household chores that need doing.

I like the feeling of earning my stay with a host.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Mexico
