Hello! My name is Georg, I'm 27 years old, from Germany. Right now, I have lot of time on my hands until the start of my masters degree in landscape architecture in autumn. I want to use that time as well as possible by traveling the world! I left Germany about two months ago, with the goal of staying in South America for 6 months. I’m volunteering in a hostel right now, and I was planning to leave Rio at the end of January. But the more I stayed here, the more I fell in love with the city! Now I want to extend my stay here. I know that for me, the cultural enrichment is far greater when connecting with the locals rather than just by pure sightseeing on my own. I think Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to get an authentic experience!

I would describe myself as a a open and communicative person who gets along with pretty much everybody, I love getting to know new people and I'm happy about every new friendship forming!

PS: I get along fine with all kinds of pets. And I don’t smoke or take any drugs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I always heard about it and got it recommended, but never really tried doing it. And I feel like right now is the perfect opportunity for me to give it a chance. I’m very much looking forward to the cultural exchange that comes with it!
