I think it would be nice to meet locals when I travel. That's the best way to know a country and its people rather than reading articles and believing stereotypes.
Besides, I've worked at a hostel for 2 years! my job was meeting people and helping them in having a more pleasant stay :D

Pulled out a friend from depression... Honestly, i wish i didn't have to do it, i mean, for the person never to have been in such a state of mind in the first place, but that wasn't the case. So here's a little advice - never pass on an opportunity to help someone. If you pass, then chances are the next person will think the same. They'll say "someone else will do it." and move on. Take the lead and do a good deed:)
