About Me
I've just graduated from a Computer Science bachelor's at uni. I'm going to study linguistics and chinese next.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always been in awe of the wealth of culture that exists on this planet. I love learning about it, I want to travel authentically, immerse myself in different cultures. I find it a far better experience to tour a region with someone who lives there, because that's what truly opens your mind and soul to the different ways that it's possible to live life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love Son Lux, and Kishi Bashi (had Manchester stuck in my head for ages, "haven't felt this alive in a long time"). I have a very varied taste in music: I challenge you to find a genre that doesn't have at least one song I like!
Movies: every Christmas my family has a tradition of watching the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy in one day. We cook meals for eating at the same time as the characters in the film. I love some movies, today I was again reminded of how great Baby Driver is, but I don't often watch movies.
These days I read east asian translated serial novels, which I moved on to after discovering and running out of anime and man*a. The east asian storytelling style is very refreshing and easy to fall in love with after spending a childhood saturated with western books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 15, fundraised £5000 on my own to go on an expedition to Borneo, stay with local communities, live in the jungle in hammocks, live by the beach in long houses. Extremely eye-opening and positive experience for me.
