Hi everyone :)

My name is George, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Greece. I studied education in Greece, finished the (obligatory) 1-year army, and for the past two years I'm doing my Masters in the University of Malta. This summer I'm finally following my plan to get to Greece through Italy with the bicycle.

My trip is supposed to last for two weeks (15th-30th of July) and during that time I'd be happy to meet any traveler or cycling enthusiast and have a good time hanging out. I have hosted people in the past and used the hangout in the app (which I consider a life saver when you are travelling alone) and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. It would be great to meet more great people during this time and share stories from previous travels.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I mainly travel alone and most of the people that use the app travel alone aswell. It's nice to have an app that let's you meet with like-minded people :)
Hangouts are cool if you want to explore the city with more people, and events like the weekly cs meetings are really helpful to find new friends. It has already happened twice to me, that I found travel buddies through these events and continued travelling together for the next day or two.
Last but not least is hosting people, which gives you the chance to show off to strangers on how many things you know about your town and receive wine and a good reference in return for all your effort.

Didn't have any company or money to spend in Alexandroupolis, so I took my bike and made a small trip to Samothrake by boat, then slept on the woods alone (it was dark). Next morning I found some hippies and they fed me

I wanted to go for a swim by bike but accidentally travelled to Komotine (57 kilometres away)

I kissed the hand of an ex Archbishop while I was traveling to Xanthi. Unfortunately that day I forgot to eat meal so I end up eating biscuits at a supermarket 5 hours later
