关于我

Hi to everyone!
I’m a PhD candidate in Sustainability and Transport Engineering in Rome, I'm from Reggio Calabria (southern Italy) but I started to live here in Rome in November 2025. Still figuring out the city, but we could do that together!
Mon–Fri, 9 to 6: responsible academic citizen.
After 6: Doing things for the plot, collecting crazy memories, and building a chaotic lore one episode at a time.
____

I’m half English, half Italian, and my accent is… aggressively present :p

Easy-going, open-minded, always up for adventures and good conversations.

Oh, and I love cooking for my guests! Worst case scenario you might leave with a full stomach and a new side quest achieved.

1. About Couchsurfing
I’ve recently received some unpleasant messages, so I want to be very clear: for me, Couchsurfing is not a dating experience.
Being hosted at my place does not mean you’ll be under my sheets.

I’m happy to host anyone regardless of race, gender, or sexual/political orientation. However, if you cross any unwanted boundaries, you’ll be asked to leave immediately. Read the room.

2. How I choose my guests

Due to the high number of requests I’ve been receiving, here’s how I usually decide who to host:
• Respect for house rules (see the relevant section).

• I generally prefer guests staying from Thursday to Monday (or similar days), as I’m more free then. I enjoy spending time with my guests and exploring a very long list of places I have wanted to visit, but haven’t been yet there, which is harder for me during the week due to work and sports.

• Although my house is big and it could somehow fit a lot of people, I tend to prefer single travellers/couples.

• The vibe of your profile (photos and description) matters. After years in academia, I’ve developed a good sense for AI-generated or copy-paste answers.
PLEASE write something genuine and personal.

• No creeps. I’ve already received too many weird messages in a short time, don’t be that person. If something feels off, I will end the conversation immediately.

• Reviews help, but I’ve also hosted people without them. However, if you don’t have reviews, I won’t accept last-minute requests, as I need time to get to know who I’m talking to.

• My home is not a hotel. Hosting is free, but I may ask for a little help with small tasks, especially for longer stays (and we’ll do them together).

Bonus ⭐
If you’ve read everything, include the phrase “Do it for the plot” in your request message, I value that a lot!!!

House Rules:
1. I’m not keen on leaving people in my house when I’m not staying there, especially the first days. My schedule is very repetitive, during the week days I’m at the office from 9:15 until 18:00. So that’s a good chance for you to explore around!
2. Because I have only one pair of keys, I won’t leave it to anyone.
3 Check-ins (I’m starting to treat my house has an hotel 🙂‍↔️) are allowed from 18:00 until 00:00 during the weekdays, on Friday/Saturday I’m more flexible.

Peace out x

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing feels like a chaotic way to make friends from different parts of the world, share cultures and stories, and turn “maybe one day I’ll visit” into an actual trip.

音乐、电影和书籍

Fav Music: Heavy is the Crown by Linkin Park, Eventually by Tame Impala, Die Young by Lil Texas, Let Down by Radiohead and End of Beginning by Djo.

Fav Books: The myth of Sisyphus by Camus, The moustache (I baffi) by Carrère and White Nights by Dostoevsky

Not a huge fan of films, but I am always open for any recommendation!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I did my Erasmus in London and lived in a hostel for 2 months (London is expensive asf). By the end of it, it felt weird being the one who had to leave. I got so used to people coming and going that I didn’t expect me to be the one saying goodbye.

教,学,和分享

I can teach you how to cook some Italian classics, help you practice (or improve) your Italian, and even join you for a workout (I’m a big gym-goer).
Plus, I come with a solid package of crazy stories, and I’m always happy to listen to yours too.

我可以与沙发主分享些什么

I love analogue photography and I have recently bought a Instax Mini 90 . I can take crazy instant shots so our memories can be put on a wall.

I’m also happy to bring a small Rome gift (usually Italian snacks/appetizers). And for smokers: I’m up for swapping cool cigarette pack designs from our countries.
