About Me

My name is George, I'm 24 y.o. and I'm currently studying Chemistry. I live in Manaus (the capital of Amazon), but actually I was born in Barcelos (countryside).
I just found out that I love travelling around (I mean, once you know the magic you get addicted). I love reading, cinema, dance, music (mainly rock of every kind).
I don't like that much football (don't judge me) or carnival (yeah, I'm not a typical Brazilian gay). But I do like Brazilian culture and I think our country is so diversified that it make of us unique.
I also like making friends and meet people, though I must say I'm a little shy, nut friendly, easy going and patient.
Well, I don't know what else I could say about me, but if you prefer just send a message to me. :)

a chemistry student from Brazil. During my graduation, I got the chance to get into the Brazilian government program "Science Without Borders". So, I lived in Ireland for a year and a half.
There, I was able to visit different countries and have such a great experience travelling around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I love travelling and I think that's a nice to meet people and make friends from all over the world.
Also, I believe that being a host I will be able to expand my horizons and get the chance to learn another language, deal with other people, learn about their culture, habits, tradition and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rock, from all kind or genre, but I got some empathy by British Rock, Iike Radiohead, Oasis, Depeche Mode, Iron Maiden, The Clash, The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, etc.
About movies, well I have a peculiar taste for movies, I like those cute ones like "Amélie" or those controverted one like "Clockwork Orange".
Well, I don't judge a book by its cover, I read almost everything, but my favorite ones are those about sci-fi and futuristic reality: Huxley, Orwell, Burgess, Bradburry and so on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the first amazing thing I've done was to get into college, the second one was help people who needed me at some point, third one was make a dream become true.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a portuguese speaker, so I can teach some Portuguese to you, if you feel like up too. I also learnt English while I living abroad. Currently I'm studying French, but it's been so tough as I dedicate most of my time to college stuff. But I'll make it.
I like to share experiences with people, talk, going out, show landmarks and hotspots.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, my house is not made of luxury, I live with my brother and my sister. Close to Ponta Negra and other nice places. I don't have a marvellous place, but I like it. We don't spend too much time in here, because we usually are busy with something in college, work, etc.
But if you need a place to stay you'll find here a genuine fella who's looking forward to share his place with you and make of your staying a great experience.
