To help out as many people as I can in whatever way I can.

ABOUT ME

People say we are kind, hospitable, good sense of humor, dependable, trustworthy, punctual, thrifty, generous-- we have always enjoyed hosting others in our home. Over the 32 years of our marriage, we have hosted over 80 young people from foster kids, to exchange students, to teens whose parents kicked them out, to teens who just got out of jail. Couch surfing is another way for us to do this.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. I don't have to agree with another person to love and respect them. All of us are unique. As my grandmother used to say, "It takes all kinds of people to make a world." I think we can all learn from each other if we just try to understand each other and accept one another just the way we are.

I like all kinds of music, don't watch too many movies anymore, and don't have a lot of time to read, although I enjoy it immensely.

reaching the top of Mt. LeConte in The Smoky Mountains, Tennessee after an 8 hour climb-- simply breathtaking

enjoying the mountain peaks in Yalta, Crimea, Southern Ukraine (now Russia)

In 59 years of living, I have discovered a lot about life which I am willing to share with anyone who wants to know. As for learning, we never stop and I'm open to hearing information on any subject.
