About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Still trying to work this out!

ABOUT ME

I'm an open and fun-loving 27 year old liberal guy. I am very gregarious and love meeting and getting to know new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Although a platitude, I work to live, not live to work. I am always trying to improve myself, or get better for the pub quiz. I'm open and very approachable and always find something in common to talk about with anyone I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I promise I'll have people to stay on my couch when I return. London is more than just the British Musuem, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace - I know loads of cool (cheap) bars / clubs / little musuems / art house stuff which you won't find otherwise!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None of yet... Just been recommended this.

Interests

I enjoy the arts, especially slow shutter speed photography at night. Diving, History, literature and beer are also important to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all films really - I'm trying to see all the 'classics' but like comedy, action, and nothing beats a good 1980's Tom Hanks film like 'Big!' and even watch a RomCom every now and then (but don't tell anyone!)

I'm pretty wide ranging about music - I go to gigs pretty regulary - I'll see any live band as they are there to play just for you. Most listened to genres on my ipod are soul, light hearted jack johnson stuff, bob dylanish music, bosanova, funk, jazz, indie, Reggie, Rock, 80's, Guitar music like Clapton. I've always got time for the Beatles, Stones, Chillis, Bowie, basically put on anything and I'll listen to it.

Since about 21 I've made it my misson to try to read nothing but classics, however I do space them out with contemporary books, history and biographies. I think you can tell a lot about someone by their bookshelf; I can't throw books away, so my house is stuffed full of Orwell, Agatha Christie, Graham Greene, PG Wodehouse, Hemingway, JD Salinger, Dickens, Walter Scott, John Wynham, Bacan, Haggard, Poe, Wilkie Collins, Andre Gide... Although I'll admit I haven't read many of them, but I am trying!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

12 bungy jumps.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm - I don't have any special skills that i know of, I guess I like to think of myself as a good chef - although don't put me on the spot. I can make a seriously good Gin and Tonic as well. My friends say I make people laugh.
