Hey guys I'm George and I'm from good old Gloucester ( about 50% accurate as it's not very good but it is old).
I've just returned to (not so) good Glos after two years of travelling and will be about for roughly a couple of months before I continue my expeditionary ways across the pond to Canada!
If anyone is around Glos and wants to hang out then feel free to message me and we can surely arrange something. I can show you the delights we have to offer or alternatively if you wish to see some of the beautiful English countryside that the county has to offer I'm sure I can help there also.
If you are wishing to stay it may also be possible. I say this because due to my current financial situation I'm staying at my mothers house. She's a cool lady however she's quite old fashioned and I believe her close minded-ness would make her hesitant to invite a stranger from the internet to stay in her house!!! however I'm sure I can talk her round and open her eyes to a wider community :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed up before I began travelling because I heard it was a good way to travel and meet other people. I have couchsurfed a handful of times but it was done through my girlfriends profile and thus I have no references!
I hope I can return the favour and also help in letting others rest their heads. I would also be keen to meet other travellers in Gloucester and to learn why they are visiting my home and if I can assist them on their journey.

Interests

I'm a fairly active person and so enjoy outdoor pursuits such as ; trekking, scuba diving and -in winter- skiing.
I love music especially turntabilist music such as hip hop and house but not specifically. I also am a fan of hip hop culture in general. I also read occasionally.
I love to hear about other people's stories and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big music fan and enjoy a variety of artists of a few genres. I mainly like hip hop and house but I also like indie rock, pop and sometimes even classical. some of my favourite artists are : Michael Jackson, Paolo Nutini , Nas, Masta Ace, Wu Tang Clan, Bicep, Julio Bashmore , Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, The Killers ,The Smiths just to name a few.
I quite like to read and some of my favourite books would be : Westsiders, To kill a Mockingbird, The Alchemist and The Basketball Diaries.
As for films there are so many good ones but my favourite I would have to say is City of God.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There has been many however I think skydiving tops the list. Nothing gets the adrenaline going like jumping out of a plane!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't posses any great skills and so I can't teach anything of the sort like say how to play guitar but one of my mantras is not too take life to seriously and I try to find humour in everything even the bad. If something bad happened to me but it caused someone to find humour - not in a sinister way of course! - then I would be happy the incident could lighten spirits.
I am always looking for opportunities to learn new skills or experiences and I am always eager to hear of other peoples views or perspectives even if I don't agree as I respect that we are all entitled to our own opinions. I also feel that you learn more from others who are different from ourselves. It broadens horizons.
