Since 2010 I have seen Couchsurfing as a community of open minded and caring people who are spreading kindness and positive energy. That resonates with how I see the amazing world we happen to live in.

My wife (Liudmila) and I haven't been to the US yet. So, I've just booked our flights to NYC for later in March this year and we are excited to explore so called "new world". I would love to hang out and talk with locals in New York and other states. I would love to play some sports like tennis, paddle, basketball and what not.

There are a few things on our to do list and some of them I have listed below. However the most important part for us is to experience the place through people and trying to see things thought their eyes and perspective while sharing ours. I would be lovely to have a glimpse into what it's like to live in the American way in the 21st century.
Whatever that might mean for different people.

Riding bikes around downtown
Going to organ music concert or a chorus at a church
Meeting with Gary Vee haha
Walking around the city without a map, trusting the inner compass and getting lost haha
Going to local theatre (recommendations are welcomed)

I used to work as a teacher at a music school for kids teaching academic drums and a xylophone.
I've lived and studied for 3 years in Copenhagen, Denmark. Amazing part was that I stayed with a local Danish family and was taking care of their two kids.
As part of my professional life I have worked for a couple of IT companies developing business for VR software for education and industrial safety (HSE) as well as some custom mobile development for telcos and banks.
As of now I'm a strategic development partner at a major branding agency in Moscow working primarily with leading retail brands.

I adore people with great ideas, My hobbies are badminton, volleyball, piano, chess, all kind of sports really.

Happy to show you around Moscow or my hometown of St-Petersburg when I'm there.
I would like to continue hosting people every now and then. I find some people and their stories fascinating and inspiring.

I used to host people when I lived in Norway during my volunteer project there. That was unforgettable experience! And those few times that I surfed in Amsterdam,Paris and Brussels are simply one of the best memories of my life. I have plenty of unforgettable stories thanks to CS community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've found incredible people while surfing and hosting.. I didn't even expect that such kind and wonderful people exist haha . At the same time I had a negative experience as well - my laptop was stolen at an apartment of one of my hosts. That was a good lesson though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have arranged an international Chess tournament in Copenhagen, with more than 20 participants
that was pretty cool. The winner was a 72 yo man from Greece and 17 yo man from Denmark got the second place. I have an amazing story about that event. I can share it with you when we meet.
