About Me

Hello! I am a 28 year old from the UK - I'm leaving my job this April and setting off on a big bike trip from the UK to Spain with my partner Anna for several months. Afterwards, we'll be going travelling in South and Central America. Looking to see the world and meet lovely people along the way :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Anna and I are a friendly, relaxed couple in our late-twenties, who have been living in Bristol UK for the past 4 years, but are setting off to pursue a dream of travelling and cycling! We have both been working in the International Development/Environment sector, and have a history of working for social and environmental charities. We're big animal lovers and have spent the last few months housesitting across the UK. We love cooking, bike touring, running, rock climbing, and are always looking for new amazing cities and outdoorsy places to embrace our hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love electronic, jazz, ambient, reggae, Brazilian music, disco, dub, techno, dub-techno (!), downtempo music - music is a huge passion for me and I have DJ'ed in the past and with friends and ran two monthly radio shows in Bristol for a long time :)

Favourite artists & DJs: Roza Terenzi, Albrecht La'Brooy, Bonobo, Priori, Huerta & others

I also really love old and new American and English folk music (Nick Drake, John Martyn, Ben Howard), and bands like the Fleet Foxes

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer we spent 10 days cycling from Glasgow to Inverness in Scotland, riding the 'Lochs and Glens Way'. We camped, swam and kayaked our way along Scottish lochs. This was the inspiration for our big bike trip this year

Teach, Learn, Share

We are currently learning Spanish, in preparation for at least 6 months of this year being in Spanish-speaking countries! We are always down to practice with people we meet along the way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can love to cook a delicious meal with you, and take you for a beer or coffee in thanks for your hospitality :)

A singalong, with piano or guitar...

A visit to a local climbing or bouldering gym - we are both keen climbers
