About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Cycling 1000km to Oktoberfest
ABOUT ME
I'm George, 26 from London. I'm chilled out, enthusiastic and love meeting new people and learning about other cultures.
I am taking a month off work in September in which I'm going to cycle from London to Oktobetfest in Munich. Along the way it would be great to stay with local people to make the most of the experience. Join me for some of the cycle if you want too!
I don't take myself too seriously, love all kinds of people, music, and food! I'm really keen to meet local people to share experiences with.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to constantly strive to learn from people, have the most diverse experiences possible, and to share my energy and skills with others. It is the people that I've met so far in my life that are the most important thing to me, and I'm excited about the prospect of that list of friends growing and growing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a couch surfing virgin at the moment! My friend in the UK has hosted / surfed with a lot of people, and initially got me interested the people I've met traveling have really inspired me to get involved.
Interests
I love music - I play the trumpet, ukulele, piano and can sing I've played in an afrolatin band in the UK, and have performed with classical choirs all around Europe.. I will listen to anything with an open mind, and will rarely discount one particular genre.
I also love sport - football, cricket, rugby and skiing in particular. Also getting very into cycling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran the London marathon in 2011 - one of the hardest, but one of the most memorable experiences of my life I'm NOT a runner, but I committed to completing it, had an incredible experience and raised over 2,000 pounds for charity.
Teach, Learn, Share
Good company and share my stories from the journey. I can also teach English - I've had lots of volunteering and paid teaching experience, so would like to share this skill.
